The award is presented to a player from both the American League and National League.

The 2021 AL MVP was two-way star Shohei Ohtani (103 R, 46 HR, 100 RBI; 9-2, 3.18 ERA, 156 SO) of the Los Angeles Angels, who received all 30 first place votes.

The Hank Aaron Awards were first bestowed in 1999 to honor the 25th anniversary of Aaron breaking Babe Ruth's all-time home run record.
The Hank Aaron Awards recognize the most outstanding offensive performers in each League.
Winners are determined by a fan vote conducted on MLB.com and a special panel of Hall of Fame players.
The 2021 winners were Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays and 2021 NLMVP Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Guerrero became the youngest player in MLB history to win the Hank Aaron Award, and Harper became the 12th player in history to win multiple times (also 2015).

World Baseball Classic Trophy
On March 22, 2017, the World Baseball Classic Championship Trophy was presented to Team USA after its 8-0 victory over Puerto Rico in the Championship Game of the 2017 World Baseball Classic at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Led by players such as MVP Marcus Stroman, Eric Hosmer, Christian Yelich, and Adam Jones, Team USA's title was its first in the history of the tournament, which has now been held four times since 2006.
The sterling silver trophy, which was created by Tiffany & Co. is symbolic of the 2017 World Baseball Classic Championship and the official national team championship of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).
Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award
The most recent recipient was Angels' two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani, who was honored prior to Game One of the 2021 World Series.
At the 2021 Midsummer Classic in Denver, Ohtani became the first player to be an All-Star as both a pitcher and a hitter in the 88-year history of MLB's Midsummer Classic.
During his American League Most Valuable Player-winning season, Ohtani became the first player ever to record 10-or-more home runs as a hitter and 100-or-more strikeouts as a pitcher in the same campaign.

Making the Commissioner's Trophy
Designed by Tiffany & Co. for Major League Baseball, the design features 30 pennants that surround a dome with etched longitude and latitude lines and small vermeil stitching.
The process is very complicated, involving many steps and man hours.
Some of the processes:
A designer carefully creates a technical drawing of the World Series Trophy. This plan will then be used to make a full-scale three-dimensional mock up.
Once the three-dimensional mock up is created, the metal smiths go to work fabricating all the necessary parts such as the pennants and stitching.
Here a metal smith uses a lathe to form the base of the trophy. The silver disc he is holding has been specially treated to endure the rigors of the forming process.
A wooden dye is carefully pounded with a rubber mallet to uniformly form all the waves in the pennants. Wood is used as it doesn't harm the precious metals.
