  My family and I are going out to eat to celebrate Mother's day. I know they have a tomato basil salad, but other than that what would be acceptable to eat?

  • lecirca bunless burgers are great, they have steaks, the pork chops are really great. I love their pizza - I order a small and eat the toppings :)

  • miss-money-penny Not to rain on your parade, but I got really excited and looked up the soup, looks like 20g carb if you get the big bowl, 10g if you get the little one. :( it sounds super delicious though.

  • motor_trike BJ's Brewhouse!!! Most keto friendly chain eatery I have ever stepped into. roasted brussel sprouts,roasted asparagus,steamed broccoli. Protein variety abounds and the waitstaff is all about accommodating you with whatever you need to adjust to stay on the keto train. It is my new favorite place to go when eating out!!

  I haven't seen anyone post about this, but I may have missed it. BJ's Brewhouse is now catering to the low-carb crowd. They'll "upgrade" any pasta dish to zucchini noodles (extra $2), and they have several low-carb dishes they've created specifically. Just discovered this past weekend. I tried the blackened chicken zoodles and it was really tasty. Nice to have restaurants getting on board.
  • TypicalEarthCreature I hate to burst your bubble, but those new dishes aren't keto unless that is your meal for the day. The dish you mentioned is 27 net carbs. MUCH better than a traditional pasta dish, for sure, but restaurants and food manufacturers often miss the mark when trying to cater to certain diets.
  • Cricketspaws We have BJ's Brewhouse near us and I was excited to see the zoodles. I was concerned they'd still have to many net carbs though, because they don't actually list the complete nutrition. I had their bacon cheeseburger on lettuce, with a side of their grilled asparagus, and I'm here to say that was the absolute best asparagus I've ever eaten in my life. The burger was pretty fabulous too, but man, let me tell you about that asparagus! I know the zoodle dishes are new, but I'll be excited when they finally put out their complete nutrition content.

    • Blackened Chicken Zucchini Noodles: (Total Carbs: 32, Fiber: 5) = Net Carbs 27
    • Jumbo Spaghetti and Meatballs with Zucchini Noodles (Total Carbs: 56 , Fiber: 8 ) = Net Carbs 28
    • Grilled Chicken Alfredo with Zucchini Noodles (Total Carbs: 35 , Fiber: 5) = Net Carbs 30
    • Italiano Vegetable Penne with Zucchini Noodles (Total Carbs: 38, Fiber: 7 ) = Net Carbs 31
    • Shrimp Scampi Pasta with Zucchini Noodles (Total Carbs: 40 , Fiber: 6 ) = Net Carbs 34
    I would maybe order the Lemon Herb Chicken & Asparagus Zucchini Noodles for a rare treat. Optionally remove tomatoes and onions to bring the carbs down. It's only got 36g of fat so you'll need to get that from somewhere else (like a fat bomb) or you'll be hungry. That said they have steak and veggies there.

  If you happen to live near a BJ's Brewhouse chain check out their Oasis Amber if you want something besides Mich Ultra/etc. Tastes just like a Fat Tire / generic amber lager, which is awesome compared to most light beers.
