Expedition5555 Help! Tomorrow we are having lunch at Buco's for my daughter's birthday but looking at the menu it looks like a Caesar salad or Salmon are the only 2 options. I don't mind either of these choices but if someone has a better Keto option I would love to hear it.
*Side note* I googled it and someone mention Broccoli alfredo but according to the menu, broccoli is not a choice(only green beans) so alfredo sauce over broccoli isn't an option.
Thanks in advance
- FiberFanatic07 I would definitely ask about the broccoli. In my experience it feels like most Italian restaurants have broccoli. No harm at all in asking anyhow. And green beans are keto too!
- harpejjist A Italian restaurants I always ask for pasta with meat sauce but sub the pasta for whatever cooked veggies they have.
- NicoMart87 I would get meatballs. Sure there's probably sauce and breading inside but the protein is high
- Jmpsailor 19g net. Sadly, lots of bread crumbs or other fillers in almost all "meatballs".
- nybyzr Have you seen their nutrition info? [https://www.bucadibeppo.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Buca-Nutritionals-5.03.2022.pdf]It was well hidden on their site.
From the sides menu, Italian sausage links has 3 net carbs. Avoid the meatball which has 19 net. Maybe menus vary by location but the one I see has Italian Broccoli Romano as a side. It must be breaded with 13 net carbs.
For appetizer, I'd share a fried calamari (half of 7) or have the caprese (2). For entree, consider the antipasti salad (7), salmon sorento (2), or chicken limone (ask for it gluten free and they'll make it without flour) (9, maybe less w/o flour).- Keto Friendly at Buca Di Peppo

lurk_mcgurk_ So I was faced with a daunting challenge last week. We were eating at Buca for a family members birthday. Everything there is breaded or pizza or pasta, and everything is served family style. I found 1 thing on the menu I could eat & thankfully my family was ok with the added expense (it's an $11 side)
Brussels Sprouts with prosciutto! (It's offered as a side dish). It was delicious and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything!
I was also lucky enough to have some folks give me their unwanted pepperoni.
- squeaky19 The antipasto salad might be a good option there too.
- mangowiththeflow Maybe you can do the caprese salad with vinaigrette on the side?

BrachiumPontis My boss is taking us to lunch at Buca di Beppo and I can't get out of eating. I'm assuming that the caprese salad will be my safest keto and low-cal bet, but can someone advise of potential carb or caloric bombs? I'd much appreciate. [http://www.bucadibeppo.com/menu/lunch/]
- materhern Mozzarella Caprese
Oven-Roasted Salmon Positano
Mediterranean shrimp salad
Salmon Sorrento -
Chicken Saltimbocca - chicken with ham
Those are all good to go.- suxer Id go for the Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken
- MahaloMo The saltimbocca there is AWESOME... and they have a broccoli side dish that's pretty good, too (sauteed in garlic, pepper flakes and butter).
- billrobertson42 You could also asked them for just plain baked salmon and broccoli. I'm sure they would accommodate you, but probably not a bad idea to have a backup plan.
