- Cava - my new go-to fast food restaurant
[https://www.reddit.com/r/xxketo/comments/7bq8nr/cava_my_new_goto_fast_food_restaurant/]
sweetlikecherrywine If you have one of these near you, I highly recommend checking it out. It's kinda like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle and I've found it's very keto-friendly. I've gone about 4-5 times since one opened by me a few weeks ago and narrowed down my order to:
Splendidgreens salad 1 scoop of Crazy Feta spread Spicy lamb meatballs (4) 2 scoops of cucumber-tomato salad A side of lemon herb tahini
MFP tells me this is 440 kcal, 31g fat, 26 protein and 5 net carbs
Anyway, hopefully they keep growing. Looks like they have places in CA, CT, DC, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, TX and VA.
- phawny Yikes, I would be careful with relying on random MfP values for things like this - they can be user-inputted and you never know what you're getting. Lots of dieters don't give a shit about carbs and will be sloppy about entering carbs correctly, in particular. According to the calculator on their website, this is 9g net (calculating in the extra scoop of cuc-tomato salad at 1g/scoop).
Cava is great, though. I get salad base + tzatziki + braised lamb + crumbled feta + yogurt dill sauce = 4g net.- g_reat0 Cava is awesome (I always check their website before I go for carb counts). That and Sweetgreen are my go-tos for work lunches.
- [deleted] They sell their sauces and dips at most Whole Foods on the east/Midwest.
- livkhaleesi This is usually where I'll go if I don't bring leftovers to work, so I'd say a few times a month (it's quite expensive though so I try to stay away). I usually get the super greens salad with crazy feta and tzatziki, grilled chicken, cucumbers, mint, lemon juice, and the sriracha Greek yogurt sauce. Don't remember how many net carbs but definitely under 10. You can find their nutrition information on their website too :)
