Beaded Hats:
The two large beaded hats were made in Whales, England about 1825. They were brought to the United States by the William A Brown family in 1853 durinog gold rush days.
The family moved to Orange County, California in 1904, settling at Huntington Beach.
They had a hog ranch here for many years.
The small bag, also, came from England in 1918 after World War I. These were donated to Western Trails Museum by Maude Brown of Huntington Beach in memory of the pioneer family. She passed away in this year of 1968.
