Mission San Buenaventura
This was the 9th Mission built and was known for its horticulture.
Famous visitors included Capt. Vancouver and Richard Henry Dana.
They found a wide variety of fruits and food crops growing including apples, plums, figs, oranges, peaches, pomegranates, plantain, bananas, coconuts, and sugar cane.
This mission was attacked by Bouchard, the pirate in 1818.
