Walking Canes
This interesting walking cane was made from the main body of a Diamond Willow Bush that grew on the banks of the Yellowstone River near Billings, Montana. The Diamonds are harder then the body of the bush. This was carved with a pocket knife in 1904 by Albert Sharp. Many useful objects have been made of this willow. This cane was donated to Western Trails Museum by Vena S. Naughton of 517 Meridian Terrace, Los Angeles, California, on May 24th, 1966
