POST PRESIDENCYLooking Forward
With his resignation and his brushes with death, Richard Nixon had reached his deepest valley, but he still had more left to contribute.

Years of post-resignation convalescence, the return of his physical strength, and the publication of his best-selling memoirs in 1978 prepared Nixon for his return to the arena.

Making a fresh start on the East Coast, the former President launched full-speed into the next chapter of his life. Though still a controversial figure, and never fully able to throw off the shadow of Watergate, Nixon now approached his post-Presidential life with the same drive, determination, and brilliance that marked his more than 30 years in public service.

RICHARD NIXON:So long as I have a breath in my body, I am going to talk about the great issues that affect the world. I am not going to keep my mouth shut. I am going to speak out for peace and for freedom. - 1983
