Gold Star Families Memorial Monument
This monument dedicated November 12, 2018, honors families who lost loved ones serving in the Armed Forces of the United States.

The first granite panel depicts our HOMELAND: from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library to the hills of Simi Valley to the Pacific Ocean and the Ventura County coast of California and beyond... we are the United States of America

The second granite panel is dedicated to FAMILY: the family members who are left behind to forge a future from this loss.

The third granite panel represents PATRIOTS: Americans who inspired generations and fought so courageously to protect the freedoms of our country and raise the flag of our great nation.

The fourth granite panel illustrates SACRIFICE: President and Mrs. Reagan honored members of all the Armed Services who fought valiantly to preserve our way of life.

Finally the hollow silhouette of the saluting soldier represents the void created when a warrior is lost in the service of the United States, making the ultimate sacrifice for peace and freedom.
