A Coyote is a wild dog. The Coyote is one of the three wild dogs. Coyotes resemble a German Shepherd because of the long and bushy tail.

A Coyote's life span is 10-14 years old in the wild and in captivity they live to 20 years old.
A Coyote's height and length is 3 feet long and 2 feet tall, an adult coyote weighs 15-46 lbs. A Coyote can jump 3 feet high and can run up to 35-43 mph.
A Coyote is an omnivore (eats meat and fruits and vegetables), Coyotes eat birds, insects, lizards, watermelon, frogs, prickly pears, cantaloupe, wheat, and blackberries.
Coyotes are more active during the evening.
A Coyote uses a long howl to report their location. Coyotes use short barks to warn there is danger, yips when returning to the pack members.
They use growls when they are trying to be in charge and whine and whimper when it's bonding. The females use high pitched barks when calling to her cubs.
A Coyote also barks when it is defending the den or a kill.
